My name is Lynn Barton, and I am proud to be a PreK teacher at St. Paul Christian Day School!  I am originally from Indiana, moving to Georgia as a child.  I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!).  I am certified in Texas to teach PreK through Sixth grade.  This is my 5th year at Red Roof.  Previously I taught Kindergarten for 10 years.

I have a true passion for working with our young learners.   Helping children progress in all areas of their development—spiritual, social, academics, and motor—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a fun environment. 

Personally, I have been married for 19 years and have three fantastic children who are 17, 16 and 15 years old.  We have a 10 year old Beagle named Minnie.  I enjoy reading, cooking, music, tending to our chickens, and spending time with friends and family.

My name is Ruth McLain and I am a Pre-K teacher at St. Paul's Christian Day School. This is my 8th year teaching here. I graduated from Texas State with a degree in Education (certified to teach Pre-K thru 6th grade) and a minor in Early Childhood. I taught Kindergarten in Comal ISD at both Goodwin Primary (in New Braunfels) and at Specht Elementary before staying home with my children. When I decided to go back to teaching I chose St. Paul's because of the type of program they offered (not just as a Mother's Day Out program). It's a school that helps prepare children academically, emotionally & spiritually by providing a fun, hands-on, loving and nurturing environment to grow in. It's a great place to be!

On a personal note, I have been married 24 years and have 2 children, Matthew (age 20) and Gabby (18)...we are getting close to finding out what that "empty nest" feels like! I work part-time (weekends & holidays) at Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch and when I have free time I enjoy family time, playing games, reading, cooking, watching movies, walking, swimming, traveling & shopping.

​Hi! I’m Katy Anthes, and I’m excited to be a PreK teacher at St Paul Christian Day School. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I taught elementary and middle school for 10 years, 7 in Comal ISD. My husband, Steve, and I have been married for 14 years. We have 3 girls, Cami, Lacey, and Hannah. We are active members of Hillside Fellowship, and I am the Early Childhood Team Lead there as part of the Kid’s Ministry. Hannah has been attending St Paul CDS since she was 2 and is now in PreK. I fell in love with the incredible environment here and knew I wanted to be a part of it.
